Juneteenth was the day (two and a half years late) that slaves in Texas were informed of the Emancipation Proclamation. To pay tribute to this historical date, and to stand in solidarity against racism, white supremacy, and police brutality, Black Lives Matter is asking people to participate in a General Strike.
